New Project

Well, last night Andrew and I found a new thing out about Lubbock!  Apparently Lubbock likes ART! :)

Our wonderful landlord had invited Andrew and I to a pre "Art Trails" party, and then a caravan trip through the art trails. (so first, yes we hang out with our landlord.........really? who does that right? but ours is amazing....so we do)  (and, second we walked across the street (to our landlords house) and had a pre art trails drink)

To get on with it, we went to the Lubbock Art Trails......It was so neat.  We went downtown and seriously every little nook and cranny of downtown was filled with music and art.  It was so great.  At times like these I wished more than anything I had my camera......(my stolen camera) back.  It was so cool and so inspiring.  We saw some serious abstract art, crazy paintings, wonderful photography, jewelery, sculptures, woodworking, statues, and atfully inspired people. It was so great (did I already say that?), Andrew and I felt like we were at home, between living in SLO all the way up to Willits......we feel so comfortable around hippie colorful people.  It was really nice, and I thouroughly enjoyed it.  One really cool thing that we saw is glass blowing!  I signed myself up for a CLASS!  How cool is that.  Apparently my landlord is friends with the guy who does the glass blowing, so....I cant wait for that!

Anyway, there is something that I have been wanting to do for a while now, and I dont really have a camera to do it with. But I have a new project that I want to start.

Lubbock, although its kind of a funky huge city with a small town feel, has some cool things!  I decided that I want to go around and take pictures of all of the company signs.  most definitely not all of them, but the cools ones.  I thought it would be fun. However, I have to save up to replace my camera that.......ahem someone broke into my house and stole! :( Im still bitter......can you tell.

Anyway, I was very pleased with the art trial and cant wait to do it again. The only thing I think that they should have to improve the trial.....is add a farmers market!!!! :)

Hosford Garden

Well, we finally planted our seedlings into the flower bed today!!! :) We were pretty excited to do it! We started with these little guys.....

And then it looked like this for about 2 weeks......We transplanted some of the healthy looking little seedlings into bigger pots.  You might be asking why we didnt just go from the seedlings above strait to the garden bed? Well they werent ready yet.....according to Andrew.  They needed to be transplanted into bigger pots, that we could still bring inside if the weather got bad. Which makes sense I guess......but looked funky!

Well today, we took the plants in those bigger pots, and finally planted them in the garden bed. YAY! Here is the first one going in. :)

And TA-DA!   :)  Tomatoes (Roma, Sungold, Brandywine, Beefsteak), Jalapenos, Green Bell Peppers, Sweet Banana peppers, Cucumbers (2 kinds), Garlic, White Onions, and ee still have the Basil to plant (in the top right)  They werent big enough yet. And then on the far top right we have rosemary.

Here is our zuchinni (green and yellow), Butternut Squash, and Spaghetti Squash.......before.

And here is what it looks like now.  They're lookin pretty happy!

And here are our Green Beans/Sweet Peas.....they look pretty happy too!

Today we bought a cute trelace for the beans to grow up!

These are all the other things that we have left to plant! Watermelon (YUM), more sweet peas and green beans, Morning Glory (flowers), Sweet pea (flowers), and Moon flowers. Also, notice the blue water spray nozzle.....well the dogs got a hold of it, and now there is no longer the squeeze lever to let the water out.......darn dogs, Not to mention that we are on our 3rd lawn sprinkler....!

And here it is, and here we are after working in the garden all day! :)

I thought this was super cute, Andrew was so excited about buying these!  We have matching gardening shoes.  Its pretty amazing how comfy they are. However, these wont get worn out of the house!

Happy Gardening!

The Puppies!

Well....I took this picture of Texman when he was about 5 or 6 months old. I totally fell in love with it!   He was still so little here, although it doesnt really look like it.

June is right around the same age now that Tex was in this picture, so I guess now its tradition, that......I make her take one too!  Since then the fence has been stained so it might look a bit different.  But, I still stinkin love this one too!

And I couldnt not get one of the both of them.....so here they are. I cant quite believe I have two dogs that listen so well and actually stay when I tell them to. Its wonderful!

As you can tell Texman is so much bigger than he was in the first picture. Ill have to update with another one when June is fully grown.

Love my puppies!
