Busy

Man.....ive got so much to catch up on, and no time to do it in. Here is a list of things we have been up to...

We had the most amazing trip home.....not at all relaxing though.  We had to be here and here and there and over there and then here again and.......whew.  It was wonderful to see everyone that we got to, and IM SO SAD that I was not able to fit everyone in. :(

We spent the first part of the week in willits for the 4th holiday and went to the Willits frontier days rodeo.  That was pretty hilarious and there were some people in our group not feelin too hot the next day if you know what I mean.  Great pictures to come.......rodeo, Maylia and Brylee, horseback riding, oysters on the porch, family time!

Then we got to spend the rest of the week in Santa Rosa where I got in as much nieces and nephew time as possible!  Also I had the privilege of being in Veronica Stirnus's wedding!  So I got to prep with her for that! How fun and beautiful the wedding was.  MANY MANY pictures of this to come.

Coming home was just impossible. I dont know how I will ever "get used" to leaving my family.  I guess i am so fortunate to be so close with them even if it makes it difficult to leave. I would rather have a tightly knit family and be a little far away, then..not close at all in love and in distance.  Anyway.....Im home now, and its taken me about a week to finally get back into the groove of our lives in Lubbock.

Since we have been home......we have a new roommate! Nara, our exchange student from Brazil had arrived while andrew and I were in CA. She is wonderful, she is exactly 4 days older than me. so we are going to have a wonderful party for our bdays! :)  I love trying to communicate, and then giving up and having to point to an object or play charades because I cant speak Portuguese.   We all get a long great, and I cant wait for more!

We have also been trying to do a lot of yard work. The dogs tore it up while we were gone, apparently they missed us. So we had to repair quite a bit, and then our landlord (who is WONDERFUL, and he lives across the street, and we tend to end up on his front porch in the evenings drinking wine together, andrew myself and him....that is)  and us decided that we wanted to finally build a patio in our backyard. The dogs did a number on our lawn, and its now more of a dirt pit.  So we built a patio.  It is still in progress but pictures to come!

We are having a brazillian dinner tonight with our wonderful lubbock friends to break in our half finished patio.......i guess we couldnt wait till it was done to have people over. :)

The last weekend in July andrew and I are going to Riudoso New Mexico for a long weekend.  We cant wait to have a mini vacation with our great friends Justin and Brittany.  Also, my birthday is in less than a month, and then.....it will be andrew and I's 1st anniversary! :) hooray!

Anyway, I know i totally missed out on something, but.........it will show up later im sure.   Maybe my next blog will only be pictures and no words.  and you will be able to know exactly what they are from.
